Democrats Block Israel Aid for a Third Time
Tampa, FL – It has been two months since Iran-backed terrorists slaughtered thousands of Israelis and took hundreds of Israelis and Americans hostage. And Democrats continue to delay much needed aid for Israel. Last night, Senate Democrats once again blocked Senator Rick Scott’s standalone Israel aid bill. This is now the THIRD time they’ve blocked this important aid.
Why do they keep blocking it? Because they want to include more money for the war in Ukraine and money for liberal priorities like sanctuary cities. That’s right, Democrats are blocking aid for Israel so they can use it as leverage to send money to American cities that don’t abide by our immigration laws.
Statement from Team Rick Scott Spokesman Jonathan Turcotte: “Senate Democrats have had multiple chances to stand with Israel and they reject it every time. Clearly, their rhetoric about supporting Israel is empty and meaningless since they refuse to vote for this aid that Israel desperately needs. Failed Florida Democrat-turned-senate candidate Debbie Mucarsel-Powell says she stands with Israel. But she hasn’t said a word about her Democrat colleagues rejecting aid for Israel three times. She should be honest with Floridians about who she really stands with.”
