National Dems Appear to Abandon Leading Florida Senate Candidate

Rick Scott for Senate

Tampa, FL – Today, Joe Biden will be in Florida. But he’s not in Florida to campaign for Democrats or hold any public events. He’s just in Florida to raise money for his reelection campaign.

One Democrat operative told Politico that Florida has lost its battleground status and Democrats will only visit Florida to raise money, not campaign for Florida Democrats.

Yikes… However, we hope that Biden and the Dems leading candidate, Debbie Mucarsel-Powel, hit the campaign trail together in Florida. Biden is deeply unpopular in Florida and pretty much everywhere else around the country, so we look forward to them talking to voters about their bad ideas like their open borders agenda, bidenomics which has caused prices to skyrocket, and their America last foreign policy initiatives.

Statement from Team Rick Scott Spokesman Jonathan Turcotte: “Despite what Chuck Schumer and Washington Democrat’s handpicked candidate says, National Democrats appear to be abandoning Debbie Mucarsel-Powel. She claims Florida will be competitive and democrats will invest here. Nope. They just dumped a bucket of cold water on her claim that Florida is winnable for a statewide Democrat. But Senator Scott is not taking anything for granted. He’s already campaigned in nearly half of Florida’s counties and he’s received endorsements from multiple Florida law enforcement and business groups. Earlier today, he was endorsed by 80 Florida lawmakers.”
