Tampa, Fla. – In the midst of the worst border crisis our country has ever seen, Senator Rick Scott is calling on Chuck Schumer to hold a full impeachment trial for Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

Biden and Mayorkas have enticed millions of illegal aliens to break into our country with promises of amnesty, citizenship, healthcare, housing, welfare benefits, and more. Recent reporting also showed the parole and release program started by Biden and Mayorkas in 2022 to fly illegal aliens into the United States has sent hundreds of thousands of those illegals into Florida. This program, among others, undercuts the Biden Administration’s claim that this crisis isn’t of their own doing.

While Senator Scott believes the American people deserve a trial to hear the evidence, Florida Democrats’ radical senate candidate and one-and-done Congresswoman Debbie Mucarsel-Powell remains silent on if she believes Mayorkas should be held accountable, and seems content to completely ignore the crisis at our border entirely.

Floridians deserve to know if she thinks the border is secure and whether she agrees with Senate Democrats who have voted to let illegal aliens take taxpayer funded flights with no ID, to not deport illegal aliens who hurt police, and to not deport illegal aliens who commit crimes in the United States. Senator Scott has been to the border three times since Biden took office. He fully understands the national security threat that Biden and Mayorkas have created by opening the border and will keep fighting for accountability and to secure the border to stop Democrats’ attempts to allow millions more illegal aliens to enter our country.”
