Tampa, FL – Today, Senator Rick Scott released a video from his recent visit to the American Museum of the Cuban Diaspora, where he joined freedom fighters in Miami to call for a new day of freedom and democracy in Cuba and demand that the illegitimate Communist Cuban regime be held accountable for its human rights atrocities. Senator Scott will always stand with the people of Cuba for Freedom, Patria y Vida, and condemn Joe Biden and the Democrats for their refusal to support freedom in Cuba and their failed appeasement policies.

During this visit, Senator Rick Scott toured the “Liberty, Hunger, and Desperation” exhibition with leaders of the Cuban Community, former political prisoners, and victims of the Castro/Díaz-Canel dictatorship, and heard firsthand about the atrocities and human rights violations that the illegitimate communist regime commits against its people.

Senator Rick Scott said: “This museum serves as an important reminder of the atrocious crimes against humanity the Cuban regime commits every single day against its people and the importance of our fight. Every American should know the story of communism in Cuba and learn from it. We must do everything in our power to stand up for those oppressed and fight for a new day of freedom and democracy in Cuba and across Latin America. I invite President Biden and the Democrats, who continue to embrace dangerous dictators, to tour the American Museum of the Cuban Diaspora, talk to the victims of the brutal communist dictatorship, and once and for all stand with the people of Cuba and put an end to their disgusting appeasement.”
