Senator Rick Scott Announces Florida County Captain Program
Local Leaders to Drive Voter Turnout Across the State
TAMPA, Fla. – Today, Senator Rick Scott announced the launch of his County Captains Program that will mobilize grassroots volunteers from across Florida in support of his re-election campaign. The program consists of 97 County Captains who will lead groups of volunteers in their counties to knock doors, engage voters, serve as poll watchers, and get out the vote for Senator Scott in the primary and general election.
Senator Rick Scott said, “Since the start of my campaign, I have visited all 67 Florida counties and have seen firsthand how energized Florida voters are. Floridians across the state are fired up to keep Florida red in November. I want to thank all the County Captains and volunteers who are working so hard to elect Republicans up and down the ballot. Their efforts made an important impact in my past races and will do so again this election.
“So many Floridians are volunteering their time to help elect Republicans because they’re fed up with the Democrats’ dangerous socialist agenda. They have seen what four years of a radical Democrat President and Senate majority look like: high prices, open borders, a woke military, appeasement of Communist China and Latin dictators, and chaos in the Middle East. Our grassroots movement is made up of a diverse coalition of Floridians, from farmers to law enforcement to small business owners who will come together and reject the Democrats’ socialist agenda in November. I’m optimistic that – with the help of our County Captains and grassroots volunteers – we will get President Trump back in the White House, take back the Senate, and turn this country around.”
