Radical Democrat Stanley Campbell’s Senate Campaign in Turmoil

Radical Democrat Stanley Campbell’s Senate Campaign in Turmoil

Rick Scott for Senate

TAMPA, Fla. – Recent reporting shows that Radical Democrat and frontrunner for the Democrat nomination for U.S. Senate Stanley Campbell’s campaign is in turmoil.

According to Florida Politics, “Millie Raphael has quit as Senate candidate Stanley Campbell’s Campaign Manager, sounding alarms about mismanagement of the campaign’s limited resources.”

Campbell has remained largely silent on any issue of policy; however, he has significantly outspent all other Democrat opponents on media and is currently up with a nearly $100,000 radio buy in English and Spanish. This level of spending is unmatched in the Democrat primary and could be the difference.

Additionally last month, Campbell received the Florida AFL-CIO endorsement, representing the largest trade union in the country. In explaining their decision, Rich Templin, director of politics and policy for the AFL-CIO Florida, explained, “…many in our leadership circles know [former Congresswoman Debbie Mucarsel-Powell] from her past service and past campaigns,” seemingly alluding to her socialist record in why they decided not to endorse her. She also did not show up to their in-person interview.

Mucarsel-Powell does, however, still maintain the endorsement of Joe Biden.

Statement from Team Rick Scott Spokesman Will Hampson: “Democrat voters have a tough choice in this month’s primary between an underfunded, failed socialist Congresswoman and a radical Democrat whose own campaign staff is quitting on him. We don’t envy their decision. While it’s clear Stanley Campbell’s campaign is in turmoil, he continues to actually take his primary seriously and may very well be the nominee. At the end of the day, Senator Scott is prepared to defeat Socialist Debbie or Radical Stanley, whoever wins their close race on August 20.”
