TAMPA, Fla. – In yesterday’s Democrat primary, nearly 1/3 of Florida Democrats came out and voted against Debbie Mucarsel-Powell.

With over 1 million more registered Republicans than Democrats in Florida, a GOP coalesced around Rick Scott, and a state that rejects socialism, socialist Mucarsel-Powell has an uphill battle heading into November.

Miami-Dade County, Florida’s largest county and a bellwether nationally for the Hispanic vote, is especially a red flag for Mucarsel-Powell heading into November. Senator Scott received over 26,000 more votes than Debbie in her own home county. It also was his best performing county in the state, where he received 90% of the vote. While Mucarsel-Powell is on track to lose her home county in the general, Senator Scott won his own home county of Collier in the primary by 83 points, compared to Mucarsel-Powell winning her home county by only half that margin.

• Co-sponsoring the Green New Deal
• Voting to impeach President Trump
• Socialist Medicare for All
• Voting to appease Iran
• Voting against President Trump’s national emergency declaration at the southern border
• Voting against the border wall
• Voting for abortion on-demand
• Voting against an NDAA motion that would have given our troops a 4 percent pay raise
• Numerous votes for unconstitutional gun control
• Voted 100% with Nancy Pelosi, 94% with Ilhan Omar, and 93% with AOC

Not only is Senator Scott clearly uniting Republicans across the state, but nearly 1/3 of Democrat voters made it clear they don’t want a socialist representing them in Washington. Mucarsel-Powell couldn’t even get more votes than Senator Scott in her home Miami-Dade County, which is especially embarrassing. Meanwhile, Senator Scott received more votes than all the Democrat candidates combined. Democrats are in for a rude awakening come November, and Senator Scott and President Trump are ready to deliver big wins and ensure socialists like Mucarsel-Powell and Kamrade Kamala continue to lose in Florida.”
