Senator Rick Scott Wraps Up Miami Takeover With Endorsements From South Florida Mayors
HIALEAH, Fla. – Today, Senator Rick Scott announced endorsements from Mayors across South Florida at an event in Hialeah wrapping up his Miami takeover weekend. Senator Scott attended 15 separate campaign events over four days in Miami, including a “Floridians Against Antisemitism” roundtable at FIU on Friday. On Saturday, Senator Scott held a Hispanic Heritage month celebration followed by a caravan of supporters that traveled from Hialeah all the way to the Redlands. And, yesterday, he attended the morning service at Comunidad De Fe Ministries.
Senator Rick Scott said, “We had an amazing high-energy weekend in Miami! It was an honor to join so many supporters as we traveled the county – from Hialeah to the Redlands – to share our message with Floridians. There’s no better way to wrap up a weekend in Miami than to receive the endorsement of so many wonderful Mayors here in South Florida. I’ve had the honor to work with many of these Mayors since my time as Governor. As Senator, I will always do everything I can to make sure the federal government is a partner to Florida’s cities and providing them with all the resources they need. We’ve all seen what’s happening in Democrat-run cities around the country. Crime is out of control and the cost of living has skyrocketed. I’m proud to join these mayors today to say, in Florida, we reject California socialism. Together, we’re going to win big in November.”
Hialeah Mayor Esteban Bovo said, “I am proud to not only endorse Senator Rick Scott’s campaign, but also to do everything we can in our city to make sure it’s a victorious campaign. God bless Senator Scott and the City of Hialeah.”
Miami Mayor Francis Suarez said, “It really is an honor to endorse someone who every time I see him reiterates the phrase ‘how can I help?’ He always asks how can I help, and he delivers. He has ideas that are going to be transformational. It’s an honor for me to support Senator Scott.”
Deltona Mayor Santiago Avila said, “I’ve met a lot of politicians in my life and Senator Scott is one of the first and one of the few that always says, ‘how can I help’ and nothing comes after that. No ‘what am I going to get in return?’ If it’s not broken, don’t fix it. Let’s vote for Senator Scott and make sure we continue to have the best Senator in Congress”
