Tampa, FL – Radical Democrats just blocked Senator Scott’s Stop Taxpayer Funding of Hamas Act for the second time in two years. This bill would ensure that no US tax dollars will be sent to Gaza until the president certifies to Congress that the money can be spent without benefitting Iran-backed terror organizations like Hamas. It also bars U.S. tax dollars from being sent to Gaza unless the president can certify that they are not teaching antisemitic ideas and propaganda and that no hostages are being held by terror groups in Gaza.
When Senator Scott brought this commonsense bill to the floor yesterday, Senator Bernie Sanders blocked it! Some Democrats are bending over backwards to defend a vicious, Iran-backed terror organization that killed at least 31 Americans, thousands of Israelis and is still holding hundreds of hostages, including Americans, in Gaza. Does Debbie Mucarsel-Powell agree with Bernie Sanders? Does she side with her fellow Democrats who oppose protecting U.S. tax dollars from getting in the hands of brutal Iran-backed Hamas terrorists?
