St. Augustine, FL – Today, the Florida Association of State Troopers (FAST) announced their endorsement for Senator Rick Scott’s reelection. FAST represents over 1,100 active, reserve, auxiliary, and retired state troopers across Florida. Senator Scott has worked with FAST for over a decade to ensure Florida’s brave state troopers have what they need to keep Floridians safe. During his time as governor, he fought for and secured pay raises for law enforcement officers

I’ve been working with FAST since my time as governor and they do amazing work advocating for Florida’s brave troopers who risk their lives every day to keep Floridians safe. While I was governor, we secured pay raises for Florida law enforcement officers and our crime rate dropped down to a record low. In Washington, I’m working to ensure Florida law enforcement continue to have the resources and support they need from the federal government to do their job. We have seen how detrimental the Democrats’ soft-on-crime polices have been in places like New York and California and I refuse to let that happen in Florida. The Florida Highway Patrol is a top-notch law enforcement agency, and I will continue to stand behind them when I’m reelected.” -Senator Rick Scott
