Leading Dem Senate Candidate Won’t Say There is a Border Crisis

Tampa, FL – The crisis Democrats created at the Southern border continues to spiral out of control. Over 300,000 illegal immigrants were apprehended at the border in December alone. That’s the highest number of illegal immigrants ever apprehended in one month and brings the total number of illegal border crossings to 785,000 since the fiscal year began on October 1. Senator Rick Scott is leading the fight to ensure that no more tax dollars are sent overseas until our border is secure. He’s fighting for a border funding bill that would restrict any more money from being sent to Ukraine until the number of illegal border crossings is dramatically reduced.

Statement from Team Rick Scott Spokesman Jonathan Turcotte: “Illegal immigrants are coming from around the world because they’re seeing how easy it is to enter our country through the Southern border under Joe Biden. The number of suspected terrorists apprehended at the border has risen sharply since Biden took office. Yet, Washington Democrats still refuse to say it’s a crisis. Failed Florida Democrat-turned-Senate candidate Debbie Mucarsel-Powell is following the lead of her radical open borders bosses in Washington. Instead of calling out Joe Biden and Democrats for creating a dangerous border crisis, she’s attacking Senator Scott for proposing solutions. It’s clear that Debbie Mucarsel-Powell would be a rubber stamp for Joe Biden’s radical agenda that created this mess in the first place. That’s why Floridians rejected her once and why they will reject her again in November.”
