Debbie and AOC’s Green New Steal

Debbie and AOC’s Green New Steal

Rick Scott for Senate

TAMPA, Fla. – In light of national small business month, Team Rick Scott is reminding Florida voters that Debbie Mucarsel-Powell cosponsored the most radical and anti-business piece of legislation in United States history.

Mucarsel-Powell cosponsored AOC’s Green New Steal in the 116th Congress. DMP voted with AOC’s socialist agenda 93% of the time.

The Green New Deal pushes a radical and unattainable socialist wish list, which includes universal healthcare, significantly raising the minimum wage, and eliminating fossil fuels completely, among other radical proposals. The price tag of the GND is estimated to be as high as $93 trillion dollars, which would raise our national debt 300% overnight.

The effects on businesses and the American people, who are already struggling under Bidenomics’ crippling inflation, would be devastating.

The Green New Deal also ignores reality, which is that while small businesses and the American people would be crushed by nearly $100 trillion in new spending, the biggest polluters, like China, would continue emitting CO2 at levels significantly higher than that of the U.S. Our economy would come to a halt while the world keeps polluting.

Statement from Team Rick Scott Spokesman Will Hampson: “The Green New Steal would add approximately $600,000 in debt to every household in the U.S. Is your family prepared to pay that? Congresswoman Mucarsel-Powell is going to use the few dollars she has on hand to try to convince Florida families she is moderate and pro-business. Meanwhile, she cosponsored the most radical piece of socialist legislation in American history. The voters of Florida see through her act. It’s why they fired her once, and why she will be soundly defeated again in November. Floridians will never allow socialists to be elected in Florida.”
