TAMPA, Fla. – During small business month, Team Rick Scott is reminding Florida voters of former Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell’s anti-business record. Her support for the Democrats’ insane tax-and-spend agenda is threatening businesses across the country and crushing the American dream.

During her one-and-done stint in Congress, Rep. Mucarsel-Powell voted to raise the debt ceiling. This bill raised the debt limit by $6.5 trillion. The bill also raised statutory caps on nondefense and defense discretionary spending by about $320 billion in 2020 and 2021.

Thanks to this bill, and the additional $6.5 trillion it allowed the government to borrow and spend, inflation is devastating American families and hurting small business owners all over the country, who need to now spend significantly more for less.
